2022-05 BTCC Brands

Landmark qualifying lockout

WSR scored their first every qualifying lockout with the teams cars 1, 2 & 3 at Brands Hatch on Saturday.  Colin Turkington took the pole, his 25th and also the landmark 100th NGTC car pole position in the BTCC.  The BMW 3-series hybrid was even more dominant than that, with Adam Morgan in the Ciceley run car in 4th meaning the first 2 rows were just BMW’s.  Sunday was a bit trickier though, with the good old British weather mixing things up.  The wet-dry 1st and 2nd races were a bit of a lottery and those conditions make it difficult for the rear wheel drive cars.  But the team still battled hard to gain valuable championship points.  Then in the 3rd race the conditions were more settled as wet and Colin took a pretty dominant win to end the weekend on a high.  With teammate Jake Hill coming home in 2nd.  Well done to WSR from all at EY3.
