It was back to the street of Macau for the showdown to both the TCR World Tour and TCR China. Thed Björk was on top form to claim the crucial pole position and convert it into Race 1 win, his first on the unforgiving streets. This put him only 5 points behind in the championship heading into the final reverse grid Race 2 he would start 10th. That race was delayed due to heavy rain which would have suited Thed, but by the time the race got underway the track was part dry and became a tyre choice lottery. Unfortunately it didn’t go the way of the Swedish driver and he finished P2 in the drivers Championship. However Cyan Racing Lynk & Co had already wrapped up the teams title in Race 1. They have now racked up 100 podium finishes and eight world titles with the Lynk & Co 03 TCR!
TCR World Tour: Race 1
In the TCR China competition, Lynk & Co Teamwork Motorsport secured the 2024 TCR China Teams and Models Championships. David ZHU managed to qualify P11, challenging the World tour drivers. In Race 1 he and teammate ZHANG Zhi QIang claimed podium places to secure the 2 championship titles. Again it was a close run drivers title, but ZHANG like Björk ended up P2.
