Colin Turkington has extended his lead at the top of the 2023 BTCC drivers championship with a double win from pole at Snetterton. An impressive performance considering he went into the weekend leading the standings and therefore having no hybrid power for qualifying. It was also a milestone weekend for Colin with race 3 marking his 500th overall in the BTCC, his car racing with that number to mark the occasion.
Team mate Jake Hill also had a strong weekend pushing Colin for the win in race 2 and bagging vital championship points. Jake sits in 3rd place now, 24 points behind Colin. WSR Team BMW are also leading the teams and manufacturer standings. Well done all!
