The new model Lynk & Co 03 TCR car made its debut at the first round of the new TCR World series in Portimao this weekend. 4 of the newly homologated face-lift cars in the familiar colours of Cyan Racing joined the grid. All cars made it through to Q2, with Ma Qing Hua the best placed in 6th position. He brought it home in that position race 1 followed by teammates Yann Ehrlacher and Thed Björk.
On Sunday the partial reverse grid race 2 saw Santiago Urrutia starting from pole position, having targeted the front race 2 grid in qualifying. His strategy worked out well as he led from start to finish, with 2 faultless safety car restarts to claim a debut win for the new car. Thed Björk followed him home to take a 1-2 for the team and the new car.
